Allen Memorial Church of God in Christ in Mt. Vernon,
NY wanted a complete renovation to their church interior. Artech Church Interiors was able to meet their
every need. They knew they wanted a renovation but did not have a complete plan. Artech met with them to
discuss what they wanted and needed and were able to offer a comprehensive plan covering everything from
layout to materials to color renderings of what the completed project would look like. We started work by
clearing out the interior - the pews were removed, the carpet torn up and the pulpit
platform disassembled and removed. We then poured a new cement floor and we set up scaffolding for our
painters.

The second phase involved 3 sub-projects - plaster and paint, rebuilding the pulpit area with steps all
around the front to make it more accessible and
installing new stained glass windows.

The pulpit platform was built with a baptismal pool that could be easily covered to provide the choir with an area to set up

Finally the new carpet was laid down and the new pews and chairs were brought in and assembled on-site.
The pews and chairs were set in place and the rest of the pulpit accouterments were brought back. The
project was complete.
