This church, located in Deer Park, NY,wanted a completely new look. First, we did minor repairs and a light pew refinishing, then unbolted and moved pews out of the way. We laid new carpet, to follow their new red color scheme, then removed the pews back into place and re bolted them. We then added a 3" permanent cushion to the seat and a 1" cushion to the backrest. |

This Fairfield, CT congregation wanted both a new look and new functionality, when they came to Artech for their church renovation. We removed all the existing upholstery, on the pews, and then refinished each pew. The congregation wanted more flexibility, in the rear of the sanctuary, so in the last 5 rows of pews, we cut the long pews in half and added an extended base shoe to make them free standing. The shorter length and base shoe kept the pews sturdy enough, for regular use, but light enough to move at will. We finished by reupholstering all the pews with a 3" seat cushion and 1" back cushion. All of this was done on-site without any interruption of services. |

This synagogue had beautiful 80-year-old pews, which were beginning to show a little age and the synagogue's committee wanted a fresh brighter look. We came in and disassembled all of the pews and moved them to our shop, stripped all the wood parts to bare wood and refinished them. We then removed all the existing foam and fabric and replaced them with new and added a new 1" continuous cushion, on the back of the pew. All the metal hardware was stripped and painted according to the committee's color selection. All the pews were returned, reassembled and installed within a 10 week turn-around time. |

Allen Memorial Church of God in Christ, in Mt. Vernon, NY wanted a complete church renovation. Artech Church Interiors was able to meet all their needs. They knew they wanted a renovation, but did not have a complete plan. Artech met with them to discuss what they wanted and needed. We were able to offer a comprehensive plan covering everything from layout to materials to color renderings of what the completed project would look like. We started work by clearing out the interior - the pews were removed, the carpet torn up and the pulpit platform disassembled and removed. We then poured a new cement floor and we set up scaffolding for our painters who came in and painted the interior. |
