Interior Design & Renovations: Case Studies

Case Study #1

When this congregation decided that it was time, for a church renovation, they came to Artech Church Interiors. We worked with them, for every stage of the project, from visual renderings of what the completed church would look like, to the final setup of the accouterments in the pulpit area.

After our interior design plans were accepted, we began the renovation.

The first step was to remove everything.

They had 2 styles of pews, in the sanctuary, and these were taken out. The carpet was torn up and the pulpit platform was torn down. The floor was cracked and uneven so we poured new concrete. The walls were plastered and painted.

We built a new baptismal pool and installed it in the rear of the church. We built a moveable floor section, to cover the pool, so the choir could be set up there.

Next, we re-carpeted the floor. The new pews were brought in and carefully assembled, on site, and their new chairs were set up.

Case Study #2

Bernie Williams with Tom BurnsWhen Bernie Williams, of the New York Yankee's, needed his church renovated he chose Artech Church Interiors for a complete renovation.

The church knew it wanted a change but did not have anything down on paper. Artech met with them several times and we were able to get a feel for what they would want and we put together the plans and renderings we presented to them.

They were very pleased with our designs and we began the church renovation.

We started by removing the old carpet and parquet flooring; then we pulled down the old sheet rock from the walls and ceiling.

We re-insulated the building, sheet rocked the walls and replaced the ceiling.

The church wanted a new pulpit platform built, so we custom built a new platform, for them.

We laid new hardwood floors, on top of the concrete, and carpeted the vestibule and pulpit platform.

New paint was applied and we installed new lighting fixtures, that would give them sufficient light. We supplied them with new church chairs.

We built a custom Plexiglas pulpit, for them, that had the church logo on it. We built custom entrance doors for the front of the church.

We also built a sound room in the rear of the sanctuary.
