Church Marbleizing

serving CT, MA, ME, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, & VT

The greatest architectural masterpieces our world has today were created at a time when labor was inexpensive and resources were unlimited. Today the sheer number of skilled man-hours necessary and the prohibitive cost of some materials, like Italian marble, means new techniques had to be developed. Enter faux finishes. Artech Church Interiors can offer you the services of expert painters who are masters of Church painting and applying faux finishes such as marbleizing and wood graining. As a single project, faux finishes can make a dramatic impact on the beauty of a church, and as part of a larger renovation project, the effect can be truly breathtaking.

These photos demonstrate Artech’s talent for marbleization. The first three pictures show marbleizing that has been applied to columns(as part of the same job Artech also painted the organ pipes and gold-leafed the column capitals). The last two pictures show the wainscoting being marbleized to match real marble in the vestibule.

The greatest architectural masterpieces our world has today were created at a time when labor was inexpensive and resources were unlimited. When you need work done on these masterpieces, you need experts. We at Artech Church Interiors are those experts. We have generations of experience in Church Painting.

Today the sheer number of skilled man-hours necessary, and the unavailability of some materials like 12-inch oak boards, means new techniques had to be developed. Enter faux finishes. We are expert painters, who are masters at applying faux finishes such as marbleizing and wood graining. As a single project, faux finishes can make a dramatic impact on the beauty of a church, and as part of a larger renovation project, the effect can be truly breathtaking.

These photos demonstrate Artech’s talent for wood graining. The first picture is a close-up of wood graining in progress… notice the unfinished portion near the top of the beam. The final picture shows how naturally the work fits in when the project is complete.

When these columns were painted, their capitals were gold-leafed, creating an eye-catching contrast.

Stations of the Cross can be brought to life with a professional paint job. The next 3 pictures show before, during, and after photos from various jobs.
