Artech Church Interiors in Woodbury, Connecticut, is a third-generation Church Restoration and Church Renovation company. Tom Burns, owner, has been working in the business for over 30 years. Artech’s roots began as a restoration company in New York City, founded by his mother’s parents after they emigrated from Holland, where they did similar work. When Tom’s father joined the firm and later moved it to Connecticut, he expanded Artech’s offerings to focus on religious institutions and landmark buildings.
Artech Church Interiors offers the skills and dedication of master craftsmen who specialize in churches and synagogues to make every project a success. Our team has over 45 years experience working on more than 4,000 churches. See our list of satisfied customers.
At Artech, we pride ourselves on delivering the same quality of work to small churches that might have a few dozen members as we do some of the largest and oldest churches in the region.
Our church restoration services include: interior or liturgical design, interior church painting and plaster repair, stained glass, pew refinishing, new pew cushions, re-upholstering old pews and church furniture, including new church pews, theater seating, church chairs, and kneelers.
We also feature church lighting, church carpeting and flooring, and more.
Tom will personally work with you to make sure your project is done efficiently and economically and that you receive the service you deserve. He will work with your architect or with a committee of members to discuss a range of services, whether you simply need a coat of paint to refresh the interior of the building or a complete replacement of pews, flooring and lighting to give your house of worship a new or updated appearance. Tom provides blueprints and renderings of proposed changes for your approval and coordinates the work of the Artech team and outside contractors.
A church or synagogue requires a different type of attention than your home or office. A big box store or a local carpenter, electrician or carpet company will not have the experience to move and reinstall pews, understand your unique lighting needs, restore plaster, repair stained glass windows – the list is long. We are the best in New England at church restoration. You can ask our more than 4,000 satisfied clients.
